You hear it from us again and again: “Do you floss?” We ask because flossing matters—and the correct flossing technique matters, too. Some people believe that using a little bit of floss and wiggling it around between teeth is enough. If your goal is simply to dislodge a bit of food that’s stuck between two teeth, it will do the trick. However, if your goal is to truly clean your teeth, you need to up your game.

Here is a great How-To (with pictures). Take note about flossing in a “C” motion, moving up and down and back and forth, as this is what will help loosen the plaque from your teeth.
