CariVu Crack and Cavity Detector

carivu-gr-backgroundCariVu is a hand-held device that hugs the tooth and bathes it in safe, near-infrared light. It does not use radiation. It captures images which look similar to x-rays, and images are available immediately so you can see and better understand your tooth’s condition. CariVu makes it possible to detect cracking in early stages, and reveal problems where tooth surfaces touch each other, which can both be difficult to see on X-rays. It can help further define the extent of problems that are revealed on X-rays, too. It is perfect for showing the condition of the tooth surrounding existing fillings, and helps your dentist identify areas that need to be carefully monitored going forward.

3D Dental Imaging

The GALILEOS Dental Imaging System combines diagnostic imaging, including Sirona digital sensor technology and MARS image reconstruction software. When these systems work together, they produce a complete, very detailed image of your mouth and surrounding facial structure, while using very low doses of x-rays.

We can see details like nerves and other soft tissue that are not visible on standard x-rays, and we can look at your mouth from every angle. This helps us develop the best plan possible for braces, dentures, implants, extractions, or other procedures.

Chairside Oral Scanner (C.O.S.) from 3M ESPE®

The Lava Chairside Oral Scanner lets us capture a 3D video of the tooth anatomy and deliver precise-fitting restorations, conventional crowns, bridges and ceramic restorations. There is no need for the messy and uncomfortable trays previously used to take impressions. A small wand is used to record the video, and that video helps us design crowns in the computer, where we can make adjustments and get the design just right before creating the actual crown. The result is a product that that fits precisely the first time.
